Soccer Game Preview: Tri-Valley vs. Hiland

The Tri-Valley Scotties will head out to face off against the Hiland Hawks at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday.

Tri-Valley is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to nine goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Mt. Vernon on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yellowjackets.

Meanwhile, Hiland came tearing into Thursday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Lions get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Hiland might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by three goals or more this season.

Hiland's win bumped their record up to 11-2-2. As for Tri-Valley, they now have a losing record of 6-7-2.

Tri-Valley suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Hiland in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Scotties avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
