While Fort Wayne Crusaders's victory against Indy Genesis HomeSchool wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Fort Wayne Crusaders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over Indy Genesis HomeSchool on Wednesday.

The team relied heavily on Shepard Merica, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Braeden Cashdollar was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Fort Wayne Crusaders' victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Indy Genesis HomeSchool, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.
