Baseball Recap: Southwest Takes a Loss

Southwest fell victim to Washington County and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Golden Hawks, falling 12-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-1 on Tuesday.

Southwest dropped their record down to 3-14 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Washington County, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 19-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southwest will welcome Jefferson County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washington County, they will square off against Johnson County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Golden Hawks 3.3, the Trojans 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
