Saint Mary is a perfect 5-0 against Hercules since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Saint Mary's will challenge Hercules at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Saint Mary's is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Dougherty Valley on Monday. Saint Mary's sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over Dougherty Valley. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since April 10, 2024.
Kaleb Guynn tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Damien Nolan, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Bryce Gilmore also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Saint Mary's hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Hercules never let their opponents score on Friday. Everything went their way against Kennedy as Hercules made off with an 11-0 victory. Considering the Titans have won five games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
David Silva Jr. was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Hercules is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-5-1 otherwise. Silva Jr. was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Jason Kao was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. Hercules is 3-1 when Kao posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-5-1 otherwise. Nathaniel Melgoza was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Saint Mary's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Hercules, their record is now 5-6-1.
