Atkinson County barely beat Echols County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rebels put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 8-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Jack Tillman was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Atkinson County is 9-2 when Tillman posts two or more runs, but 7-12 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jovi Meeks, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

The victory was the ninth in a row for Atkinson County, bringing their record up to 16-14. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Echols County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-21.

As of now, neither Atkinson County nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
