Football Recap: Ayden Forgey Leads Gettysburg's Defense on Friday

Gettysburg played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 38-12 to the Herreid/Selby Wolverines. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.

Gettysburg didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Ayden Forgey, Jerand Chase, and Treyson Zeigler picked up one apiece. Forgey is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made eight or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Gettysburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Herreid/Selby, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Gettysburg will take on Timber Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Herreid/Selby, they will face off against Sully Buttes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Wolverines 13.4, the Chargers 6.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
