Softball Recap: Midwest City Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Midwest City's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Guthrie on Thursday. The Bombers had just enough and edged out the Carl Albert Titans 3-2. This was payback for the Bombers, who suffered an 8-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Noreli Brown made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Brown wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jayda Jacobs, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Midwest City pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.
