Baseball Recap: Spackenkill Find Success

Spackenkill won the last time they faced Millbrook and things went their way on Monday too. The Spartans walked away with a 7-4 win over the Blazers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Jeremy Acevedo was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Spackenkill's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-6 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Luke Wishrad, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Spackenkill's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Millbrook, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Spackenkill will head out to face off against Rondout Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Millbrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
