Softball Recap: Cherokee Bluff Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Cherokee Bluff's offense. They lost 12-0 to the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bears have suffered against the Purple Hurricanes since September 8, 2018.

Cherokee Bluff's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Monroe Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Cherokee Bluff will challenge North Hall at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Bears' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Monroe Area, they will head out on the road to challenge Social Circle at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
