Valley Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 27-20 win over the Gilbert Christian Knights. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 34-13 victory the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Leading Valley Christian to victory were Caleb Goldman and Austin Schuder. Goldman rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, while Schuder rushed for 165 yards while picking up 10.3 yards per carry.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Valley Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 311 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gilbert Christian only rushed for 77.

Despite the loss, Gilbert Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Pierson Scott picked up 86 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 38 yards and one TD.

Valley Christian's record now sits at 8-1. As for Gilbert Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-3.

Valley Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-20 win against ALA - Ironwood on the 31st. As for Gilbert Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 53-14 victory against Apache Junction on the 31st.
