Softball Recap: Holy Family Tigers vs. Valor Christian Eagles
Holy Family fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Valor Christian on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.
Emmaline Humphreys spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on two hits and racked up 18 Ks.
At the plate, Holy Family saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carly Turney, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
