Softball Recap: Seckman Takes a Loss

Seckman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Howell Central Spartans, falling 7-1. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Seckman saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payton Bantle, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Seckman's defeat dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Howell Central, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.

Looking ahead, Seckman will square off against Oakville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Howell Central, they will challenge Hazelwood West at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
