Recap: Yosemite Badgers vs. Sierra Chieftains
The Yosemite Badgers suffered their biggest loss since December 28, 2023 on Friday. They were dealt a 69-28 loss at the hands of Sierra. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Yosemite in their matchups with Sierra: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the loss, Yosemite still got an impressive performance from Jadyn Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 46.4% of Yosemite's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Taylor Bullock was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Yosemite has not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Sierra, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7.
Yosemite will take on Riverdale at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sierra, they will head out on the road to face off against Caruthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
