Basketball Recap: Leah Matsubayashi and Amiya Aldridge Secure Win for Venice

After losing to Jordan the last time they met, Venice decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Gondoliers came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 43-35 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gondoliers.

Leading Venice to victory were Amiya Aldridge and Leah Matsubayashi. Aldridge dropped a triple-double with 14 points, 11 boards, and 11 steals, while Matsubayashi posted 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Venice's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Jordan, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Venice will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Marymount at 5:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Jordan, they will head out to challenge Santa Monica at 5:00 p.m. on December 1.
