Baseball Game Preview: Telfair County Trojans vs. Dublin Fighting Irish

The Telfair County Trojans will square off against the Dublin Fighting Irish at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Telfair County has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with four straight losses, while Dublin will come in with five straight victories.

Telfair County came up short against Dodge County on Wednesday, falling 11-1.

Meanwhile, Dublin never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over Dodge County. The result was nothing new for the Fighting Irish, who have now won 15 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ryland Yates, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bennett Lake, who scored a run and stole two bases.

Dublin's win bumped their record up to 18-9. As for Telfair County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.
