Baseball Recap: Gallatin County Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Gallatin County and Crab Orchard meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Hawks might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 5-2 to the Trojans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-2 loss on Thursday.

Gallatin County's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Crab Orchard, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-16 record this season.

Gallatin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crab Orchard, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 loss against Norris City-Omaha-Enfield on the 30th.
