Basketball Game Preview: Washington Eagles vs. Lowell Cardinals

Washington is 2-8 against Lowell since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Washington Eagles will challenge the Lowell Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Washington earned a 48-37 win over Lincoln.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Lowell took on Galileo on Monday. Lowell was the clear victor by a 60-35 margin over Galileo. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 25 points or more this season.

Lowell is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Washington, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Washington came up short against Lowell when the teams last played last Friday, falling 54-45. Can Washington avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
