Soccer Game Preview: Kennesaw Mountain vs. Alexander

Kennesaw Mountain is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will square off against the Alexander Cougars at 8:00 p.m. Kennesaw Mountain's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Friday, Kennesaw Mountain came up short against North Cobb and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Alexander faced off against Douglas County on Friday. Alexander put the hurt on Douglas County with a sharp 3-0 win. Considering the Cougars have won three matches by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Alexander pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four contests. As for Kennesaw Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Kennesaw Mountain took their win against Alexander in their previous meeting back in February of 2021 by a conclusive 4-0. Does Kennesaw Mountain have another victory up their sleeve, or will Alexander turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
