Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elk Grove). They really took it to the Foothill Mustangs for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-13 victory. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Thundering Herd had established a 26 point advantage.

Elk Grove has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.4 points per game. As for Foothill, they dropped their record down to 1-14 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elk Grove will host Laguna Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Laguna Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season. As for Foothill, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Armijo at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Foothill is facing Armijo at the right time seeing as Armijo is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
