Softball Recap: Scottsbluff Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Scottsbluff's offense. They came up short against the Bennington Badgers on Saturday, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Bearcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Scottsbluff's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Bennington, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scottsbluff is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Sterling at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bennington, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Gretna on Tuesday. The Dragons' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Badgers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
