Softball Recap: Brentwood Extends Winning Streak to Three

Brentwood put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Trinity Christian Crusaders get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. The War Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Crusaders, too.

The team relied heavily on Cadence English, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in September of 2024. Natalie Collins was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Brentwood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .342 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Brentwood's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Trinity Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Brentwood and Trinity Christian will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The War Eagles will square off against rival Thomas Jefferson Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Trinity Christian is set to face off against their familiar foe Vidalia Heritage Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
