Basketball Recap: Jersey Shore Falls Short of Central Columbia in the Playoffs

Jersey Shore and Central Columbia squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Jersey Shore had to settle for second. They lost to the Central Columbia Bluejays on the road by a 63-47 margin. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Bluejays are ranked 42nd).

Jersey Shore's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Avery DePasqua, who posted nine points and five boards, and Peyton Dincher, who scored 12 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kylie Schall, who had six points.

Jersey Shore's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Central Columbia, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Jersey Shore nor Central Columbia have any future games scheduled.
