Marietta and North Paulding are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. The Marietta Blue Devils are taking a road trip to take on the North Paulding Wolfpack at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Marietta is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

If North Paulding heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Marietta took over last week. Marietta's defense stepped up to hand South Cobb a 2-0 shutout on Tuesday. While the Blue Devils didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

James Persons and Kevin Rivera scored both of Marietta's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, North Paulding waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Patriots as they made off with a 4-1 victory. The game marked the Wolfpack's most dominant win of the season so far.

North Paulding's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three matchups. As for Marietta, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Marietta beat North Paulding 2-0 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Does Marietta have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Paulding turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
