Basketball Recap: Pacific Takes a Loss

Pacific managed to keep up with San Bernardino until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Pacific Pirates lost 56-32 to the San Bernardino Cardinals. The Pirates have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Laniah Porter continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for San Bernardino, dropping a triple-double on 31 points, 19 rebounds, and 12 steals. Porter is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Michelle Barrios, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 boards.

Pacific's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for San Bernardino, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-8.

Pacific won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Entrepreneur at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pacific is facing Entrepreneur at the right time seeing as Entrepreneur is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for San Bernardino, they will face off against Miller at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
