Reed dropped down to 3-2 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They were outmatched by the Spanish Springs Cougars and fell 49-15. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-7.

Reed's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bronwyn Rios, who rushed for 90 yards and one TD on only 12 carries. Jesse Douglas also helped out with an impressive 84 receiving yards.

As for Spanish Springs, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Spanish Springs' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cooper Milligan, who rushed for 135 yards and one touchdown on only six carries. Milligan got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 75 yards. Tyson McNeil was another key player, throwing for 210 yards and four TDs while completing 73.9% of his passes.
