Softball Recap: Gilmer Bobcats vs. Ridgeland Panthers

It was a proper cat-fight when Gilmer challenged Ridgeland on Tuesday. The Bobcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Panthers 5-4. This was a revenge game for the Bobcats: when they faced off against the Panthers back in August, they had to take a 6-2 loss.

Braley Stewart made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off nine hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
