Soccer Game Preview: Ygnacio Valley vs. Berean Christian

The Ygnacio Valley Wolves will head out to face off against the Berean Christian Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ygnacio Valley's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Thursday, Ygnacio Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Mt. Diablo and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Berean Christian kept a clean sheet against Concord on Tuesday. They blew past the Bears 3-0. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Angie Chang and Hannah Morrell scored all three of Berean Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Berean Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which somehow still isn't as good as their 8-1-1 record this season. As for Ygnacio Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9-2.

Ygnacio Valley suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Berean Christian in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Ygnacio Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
