Softball Recap: Trinity Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Landmark Christian on Thursday, Trinity Christian came back down to earth. The Lions took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets on Friday.

Makenzie Knowles was cooking despite her team's loss, earning one run and three stolen bases. Laura Lawton was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Trinity Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Thomas County Central, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-14.

Coming up, Trinity Christian will challenge Upson-Lee at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Thomas County Central, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-1 defeat against East Coweta on the 26th.
