Softball Recap: Lowndes Has No Trouble Against Peach County

Lowndes had lost three straight, but after bumping their record up to 2-3 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Peach County Trojans. The Vikings' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

As for Peach County, they now have a losing record of 2-3. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Peach County's part, Shaniyah Gibson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Coming up, Lowndes will take on Mead at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Peach County, they are taking a road trip to square off against Emanuel County Institute at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
