Softball Recap: Omaha Central Comes Up Short

If Omaha Central was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Bryan two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell just short of the Millard South Patriots by a score of 9-8 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, with their most recent loss being a 9-0 defeat two weeks ago.

Katelyn McClure was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Ada Jantzen was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Omaha Central has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-14 record this season. As for Millard South, the win got them back to even at 17-17.

As of now, neither Omaha Central nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
