Softball Recap: Seward Bluejays vs. Centura Centurions
Four must be Seward's lucky number: they beat Centura with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Bluejays won by a run and slipped past the Centurions 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bluejays have posted since October 11, 2024.
Lauren Frihauf was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Danielle Pallat, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
The win made it two in a row for Seward and bumps their season record up to 4-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Centura, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 11-5 record.
Seward wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 11-8 defeat against Douglas County West on the 13th. As for Centura, they have also already played their next game, a 6-3 win against North Bend Central on the 13th.
