Baseball Recap: Franklin County Takes a Loss

Franklin County had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 20-8 to make it four. They came up short against Hebron Christian, falling 11-1. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, Franklin County couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Hebron Christian, their record now sits at 16-14. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

For Hebron Christian's part, Dallas Rice was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Rice has become a key player for Hebron Christian: the team is 5-2 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 11-12 otherwise. Rice was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Dean Livingston was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Thomas Stallworth, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

As of now, neither Franklin County nor Hebron Christian have any future games scheduled.
