Soccer Game Preview: Mission College Prep vs. Templeton

Mission College Prep hasn't had much luck against Templeton recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Mission College Prep Royals will venture away from home to challenge the Templeton Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

Mission College Prep took a loss when they played away from home back in December of 2024, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They had just enough and edged Lompoc out 3-2.

Something new happened on Friday as Isabel Medeiros saw her first action of the season, playing 80 minutes against Lompoc. Medeiros made the most of the opportunity, scoring two goals A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.

Meanwhile, Templeton had just enough and edged Taft out 2-1 on Friday.

Mission College Prep's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three matchups. As for Templeton, their win bumped their record up to 3-5-2.

Everything went Mission College Prep's way against Templeton in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as Mission College Prep made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mission College Prep since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
