Soccer Game Preview: Westminster Schools of Augusta vs. Ben Lippen

Westminster Schools of Augusta's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on St. Andrew's with a sharp 7-0 victory. Westminster Schools of Augusta might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Ben Lippen had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Heathwood Hall Episcopal 3-0 on Tuesday. The game was the first time Ben Lippen have beaten Heathwood Hall Episcopal on their pitch since April 8, 2022.

Joao Almeida and Yaosheng (Peter) Zhou scored all three of Ben Lippen's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Westminster Schools of Augusta's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those four matches. As for Ben Lippen, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-5.
