Bridgeport entered their tilt with Torrington on Tuesday with 11 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 12. They walked away with a 44-37 win over the Torrington Trailblazers. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Bridgeport's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elizabeth Velazquez, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Velazquez a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ella Schluterbusch, who posted 14 points and three steals.

Bridgeport smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive contests.

Bridgeport's win was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-1. As for Torrington, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bridgeport will square off against Morrill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bridgeport is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.5 points per game this season. As for Torrington, they will take on Douglas at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Douglas will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Torrington surely won't give up without a fight.
