Basketball Recap: California Military Institute Comes Up Short

California Military Institute lost against San Jacinto Valley Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The California Military Institute Rough Riders came up short against the San Jacinto Valley Academy Wolves, falling 47-27.

San Jacinto Valley Academy found their leader in freshman Kaahliyah Lacy, who dropped a triple-double on 21 points, 14 boards, and ten steals. Lacy is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Samantha Moore was another key player, going 6 for 14 on her way to 16 points.

California Military Institute's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-9. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7.

California Military Institute has already played their next game, a 44-40 win against Hamilton on the 24th. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-18 victory against Santa Rosa Academy on the 24th.
