Softball Recap: Duluth Takes a Loss

Duluth came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-2 to the South Forsyth War Eagles. The Wildcats have struggled against the War Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Chayanne Mitchell made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Duluth's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for South Forsyth, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Duluth will venture away from home to challenge Decatur at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. South Forsyth has already played their next game (against Coahulla Creek), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
