Basketball Game Preview: Ramona Bulldogs vs. Valley Center Jaguars

Ramona and Valley Center are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Ramona Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Valley Center Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ramona has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 20.

Ramona is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Tri-City Christian on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Ramona had to suffer through a 59-7 loss at the hands of Tri-City Christian. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-2.

Meanwhile, Valley Center unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against San Marcos, falling 65-39.

Valley Center's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-9. As for Ramona, their loss dropped their record down to 2-17.

Ramona was taken down by Valley Center 60-13 in their previous meeting back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Valley Center's Nashayla Chaipos, who went 8 for 20 en route to 20 points and three steals. Now that Ramona knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
