Football Game Preview: Urbana Hawks vs. Frederick Cadets + How To Watch

The Urbana Hawks will take on the Frederick Cadets at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Urbana is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Governor Thomas Johnson 48-7. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Urbana got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chase Kramer out in front who rushed for 91 yards and two scores on only ten carries. Another player making a difference was Joshua White, who rushed for 21 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Urbana was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 337 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 165 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Frederick never let their opponents score on Friday. They came out on top against Tuscarora by a score of 42-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). That 42 point margin sets a new team best for the Cadets this season.

Frederick's win came from a few key players Urbana will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Miles Robinson, who rushed for 29 yards and two TDs, and also threw for 105 yards and one touchdown. Nas Jones was another key back, rushing for 72 yards and one score on only five carries.

Frederick's defense made their presence known, laying out Landon Rosenberg six times. Tuscarora's QB won't forget Rondell Faunteroy anytime soon given he sacked him twice.

The victory got Frederick back to even at 3-3. As for Urbana, the win also got them back to even at 3-3.

Urbana took a serious blow against Frederick in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 42-12. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Hawks were down 28-6.
