Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fremont). They blew past the Dorsey Dons 61-11 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Pathfinders have posted since December 2, 2024.
Fremont found their leader in sophomore Isis Gates, who posted 25 points. The contest was Gates' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Janaea Carpenter, who put up 14 points.
The win made it two in a row for Fremont and bumps their season record up to 9-6. As for Dorsey, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fremont will venture away from home to challenge King/Drew at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Fremont's defense has only allowed 28.3 points per game this season, so King/Drew's offense will have their work cut out for them.
