Basketball Recap: Friday's Defeat Ends Roosevelt's Winning Streak

If Roosevelt was feeling good fresh off their 58-29 takedown of Burroughs last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Roosevelt Mustangs fell 60-48 to the Flintridge Prep Wolves on Friday. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2021.

Roosevelt moved to 15-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Flintridge Prep, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Roosevelt will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fairmont Prep at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Flintridge Prep, they and La Salle will face off at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. La Salle will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Flintridge Prep surely won't give up without a fight.
