Lone Grove's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Byng Pirates an 8-0 shutout. The Longhorns might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Lone Grove's win was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Byng, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Lone Grove has already played their next game, a 4-0 win against Plainview on the 9th. As for Byng, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 5-0 victory against Sulphur on the 9th.
