Basketball Recap: Inderkum Beats Woodcreek for Their Fourth Straight Win

Inderkum had won three straight games and Jamiah Fontenberry did her part to make it four on Thursday. The Inderkum Tigers strolled past the Woodcreek Timberwolves with points to spare, taking the game 55-36 thanks in part to Fontenberry, who shot 4-for-6 from long range and almost dropped a double-double with 28 points and nine boards. The matchup was her third in a row with at least 18 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Aniyah Bruhn, who posted 11 points. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

When it comes to explaining why Woodcreek lost, don't look at Ryan Nair. Despite the final result, she put up 15 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Payton Green, who earned four points.

Inderkum pushed their record up to 19-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.7 points over those games. As for Woodcreek, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-14 record this season.

Inderkum wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 52-19 victory against Rio Americano on the 11th. As for Woodcreek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 67-34 win against Tracy on the 8th.
