Basketball Recap: St. Marys Comes Up Short

St. Marys was the 42-39 winner over Punxsutawney when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The St. Marys Flying Dutch fell 53-43 to the Punxsutawney Chucks on Tuesday.

St. Marys' defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Punxsutawney, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Looking ahead, St. Marys will challenge Elk County Catholic at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Punxsutawney, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-40 victory against DuBois on the 6th.
