Hoisington is a perfect 3-0 against Garden Plain since November of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cardinals will face off against the Owls. Hoisington will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Hoisington is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 46-6 victory over Hillsboro. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Cardinals' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Trojans are ranked 89th).

Meanwhile, Garden Plain didn't have too much trouble with Beloit on Friday as they won 31-14.

Garden Plain's win came from a few key players Hoisington will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Braylen Dold, who rushed for 98 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 carries. Eli Eck also helped out as he racked up 120 rushing yards.

Garden Plain was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 355 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 163 rushing yards in seven consecutive contests.

One reason for the win was Garden Plain's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Kyle Koester refused to say out of the backfield, picking up two sacks all by himself.

Hoisington's record now sits at 9-0. As for Garden Plain, their record is now 9-1.

Hoisington strolled past Garden Plain in their previous matchup back in November of 2020 by a score of 28-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
