Basketball Recap: Pacifica Comes Up Short

Pacifica was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Brea Olinda Wildcats 58-19. The Mariners were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-11.

Brea Olinda had a senior duo take command as Liz Han posted 23 points and Sarah Wang put up 17 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Han has scored at least a third of Brea Olinda's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alisha Choi, who scored six points.

Pacifica's loss dropped their record down to 6-21. As for Brea Olinda, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-10.

Pacifica does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brea Olinda, they will look to defend their home court on February 13th against Fontana at 7:00 p.m. Brea Olinda is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.3 points per game this season.
