Softball Recap: Loganville Christian Academy's Run of Three Straight Wins Now Over

Loganville Christian Academy dropped down to 5-2 on Wednesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 5-2 to the Dacula Falcons. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Lions couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Dacula, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games.

For Dacula's part, Paisley Brown was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Brown was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

In other batting news, Karsyn Plaisance and Lianna Rodriguez did most of the damage at the plate: Plaisance went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI, while Rodriguez went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Loganville Christian Academy is taking a road trip to take on Tallulah Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Dacula, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Central Gwinnett at 4:00 p.m.
