Football Game Preview: Arkansas City Bulldogs vs. Goddard Lions + Official Tickets

Arkansas City is 1-9 against Goddard since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. Arkansas City has given up an average of 37.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Arkansas City was beaten by Eisenhower 49-21.

Meanwhile, Goddard had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 34-27 victory over the Cougars.

Arkansas City better focus on containing Erik Olivas and Brock Sullivan as the pair were huge in Goddard's win. Olivas gained 210 total yards and three touchdowns, while Sullivan rushed for 126 yards and two scores while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. That's the most rushing touchdowns Sullivan has posted since back in October of 2024.

Goddard didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited South to a completion percentage of just 48.8%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from two players: Kamren Loch and Giovanni Hernandez, who each logged three passes deflected. Goddard hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.27 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Goddard's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Arkansas City, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Arkansas City was dealt a bruising 43-7 loss at the hands of Goddard in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Bulldogs, Kaiden Stroot (who rushed for 182 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
