Soccer Recap: Scripps Ranch Snags Sixth Victory in Last Eight Games

Scripps Ranch kept a clean sheet against Clairemont on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over the Clairemont Chieftains. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the Chieftains are ranked 895th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Scripps Ranch has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those eight matchups. As for Clairemont, their loss was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-15.

Scripps Ranch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clairemont, they will head out to face off against Mira Mesa at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
