Recap: Gustine Reds vs. Delhi Hawks
There's no place like home for the Gustine Reds, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They breezed by Delhi at home to the tune of 42-15 on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Gustine, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Gustine's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Norma Mac?as led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. Mac?as is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Jackson, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.
Gustine's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-10. As for Delhi, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-15.
Gustine will head out on the road to face off against Orestimba at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Orestimba will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Gustine surely won't give up without a fight. As for Delhi, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Denair at 6:00 p.m. Delhi comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last 15 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
